As lending tightened many were hesitant to move forward on remodels and upgrades.  However, that trend is changing as consumer confidence returns and home owners gear up for remodeling projects.

In fact, the remodeling market is heating up, its is now at the highest level in 4 years.  This is both a positive sign for the economy and housing market.  Home remodeling continues to slowly grow throughout the years and is expected to continue to grow.

According to David Crowe, Chief Economist of National Association of Home Builders "Home remodeling continues to slowly increase and continued growth through the year is expected.  The fact that some indicators are breaking 50 means remodelers are seeing improving activity in their markets.  While credit scarcity and economic uncertainty continue to weigh down remodeling, signs of signs of increasing consumer interest are promising."

There you have it!  So move forward and don't hesitate, give your home that new coat of paint or install those new kitchen cabinets!
